Personally... my number 1 thing I'd like to see change.. is loadouts... with all the different armor types... shield types...ronds... and relics...i think being able to quickly swap between custom armor sets would be HUGE... I'd also like to see Kratos get a/some bare headed execution(s)... In Ragnarok.. if you trigger an execution while bare handed.. he just uses the Axe

Definitely the better choice, the spectacle audience moment in Tyr's temple would probably have been visually appealing but having Brok's story end with him beating the Allfather at his own game was as cathartic as it was heartbreaking. This game was a goddamn masterpiece

As you said these details would work perfectly in a movie or a tv show, but a shifting temple sound an amazing idea for a video game. I wouldn't mind if the add something like this in the "remake"

For Gow 6, Santa Monica should make character swap parts where after finishing a solid part of the story with kratos in Egypt or wherever the game goes, we swap to Atreus in Norse doing his mission so we can get the best of both mythologies and also see Atreus story after the ending of GowR.

I was using a tactic of not upgrading Poseidons/Cronos rage to make sure I could extend combos because enemies don't die as fast. Figured that an hour after playing GOW for the first time 😂 EDIT: Milking enemies until they don't drop orbs works extremely well too

Actually, I would want more moments from the God of War novels included in a hypothetical remake. Like the fact that Athena was helping Kratos in the background, by convincing the other Gods of Olympus to lend their aid. That alone would recontextualize the convenient power-ups that Kratos received from the gods throughout the course of his journey. Of course, I doubt they'll ever do such a thing, but it's fun to imagine regardless.

Unrelated to vid btw. I saw a theory that the original gow 3 story might still be followed but alot slower. In the og plan kratos kills all pantheons in the game and kratos along with his norse & egyptian counterparts(Tỳr and Montu) become the 3 wise men. In ragnarok we meet Tỳr. Now we just need an egyptian game to meet Montu.

This whole series has some of the best ancillary characters I've ever seen. I love how sleazy Vulgrim is, how just epic Samael is, how impactful Ulthane is. It's so well done. The whole game just oozes melodrama

Funny note- when the devs did an interview prior to the launch of DS2, they were quoted as saying that Darksiders taught all of them how NOT to make games. DS2 is still my favorite, but the first one still holds up today

if they want to make older GoW games playable on modern hardware, i believe a remaster is enough because the games are almost perfect, but if they want to go out of their way to remake them, then i would definitely want elements from the books to be in the games as well

I wish i could make greek gow comic book base on gow novel, like i get it you can buy the novel but let's just be honest there are few people who like to reading a book compared to comic, comic can be more interesting for many people due to having a visual but still it's not guarantee that will be get many reader, but it still insteresting to me to make greek gow comic fanmade, so i will give it a try

After the cover opens, a pillar lifts It up so Kratos can take It. • Athena says instead "You are the first mortal to ever reach Pandora's box, since Pandora opened It." • When Kratos dies, Hermes helps him to go to the shores of Hades river styx. • Since Kratos has no money, Charon denies him, but since he is send by the gods, he has a pass. • Also Hades (place) looks accurately to the myths, and not like in the original. • Kratos fights Cerberus but when Kratos is near to kill him, Hades interviens and let's Kratos go with the condition of please killing Ares. • Ares doesn't have Spider legs out of his back. • Ares blood is Golden Ichor. Not red. • The Throne of Ares is at the top of Mount Olympus along with the other 12 gods in a semicircle form, also Hestia's bonfire is in the center. • Then Kratos becames the God of War just like in the original God of War. I mean, it's way easy to write a better story of an existing one over creating a new one. Not saying the novels aren't great anything, just saying that it's easier when a story is done and finished to correct any mistakes or add more substance to it.

I would love to see the "extra details" from the novels in the games, but it would mean that the hellenic saga must also get a remake. And in today's age of gaming, the answer will be: hell no. And that's because the games must be exactly like the old ones but with modern graphics. Not a single censorships, not a single DEI, and not a single foreign developer! Every single person that worked in the original games must work on the remakes as well. That way we will get the exact same experience as back then with all the details of the book in them.

I wish there was like a mythologically accurate gow1. And it's just only that game and that's it.

I also have the novels of GoW 1-2 and 2018. These can add so much background and lore, to get a better understanging of the story of a game. Next I'm going to read Alien: Isolation novel, now I'm playing the game preparing for the new movie: Alien: Romulus and will start the book soon. But GoW books will always have a special place in my shelf.

Complicated answer: From what I can see the new writers or even a few old developers (those who weren't directing or writing in the old games) that took the mantle of directing the new games do have a different understanding of some or a lot of things in Greek games. My observation is based upon the references of Greek games I see in the Norse games. Their "understanding" seems different to me. So the same people working on remakes, I don't think will be able to provide a remake where the writing is exactly the same. That's just about the writing part, you goto other things like the mechanics of the games, they might be intending to change that, which I don't really want. You could argue they can give the remakes to another studio to remake, in that case aswell if they are instructed to change mechanics and the writing/stories of the games they most likely are going to mess it up.
